Ghost Stories

Okay so we have this science teacher who is amazing! His name is Coach Nick. He has worked at this school for like 32 years. When he started working there he lived in the teacher apartments, there pretty far from the student dorms. He lived in the teacher apartments from the day he started working at the school until six months later. Six months after he started living in the teacher apartments he was asked if he wanted to move into the student dorms to control the 6-8 graders in the boarding house. When he was asked to move across campus it was summer, so there was no one in the school besides Coach Nick, and two other people that lived in the teacher apartment, no janitors, security guards or anything! So the night he moved into the student dorms it was late at night and once he was settled into his new room he realized that he left his wallet in his car. So when he went down to get his wallet, right when he closed the door to his room he heard another door SLAM down the hall from where he was. He knew there was NO ONE in the school so he got scared. (Since it was summer there was dust on the floor because there were no janitors to vacuum, keep this in mind you'll need this later). So he was like "whatever", but just then, he started hearing footsteps from down the hall where he was looking. (He heard them and was looking, but there was nothing there!) So he stated running towards the steps, then down the steps and he heard the footsteps start getting really heavy and they started running. So he was freaked out by then so he went to the two other teachers in the school living in the teacher apartments and told them there was some one else here, and they were like "impossible". So he brought them upstairs and you could see two tracks of footsteps in the dust, his and the "ghosts". Well i'll right more in the next blog! Im out of room! And that was the end of the story.

Me and the Beggining

Well you know my name is Andrew Cevasco if you read my first blog, "History". Now i'm going to tell you about myself and the school, not history of the school just how my life is at the school. Okay so, i'm a 5 day boarder and since i live at the school I get a lot of good actions and experiences with the ghosts. I will tell you some stories later about the ghosts but I have to get this blog started first. So my Social Studies teacher and I know all about these ghost stories and experiences. So if the school is really old and Al Capone stayed here when it was a hotel that just tells you that there has to be something wrong with this place right off the bat. Anyway I'll get to that later in my next blogs. If you search the web on "Farragut Ghosts" or "Jungle Country Club Ghosts" you don't get anything! No matter what you search there wont be anything about ghosts at this school, its almost as if it didn't exist, and trust me i've tried.

History

Hello, my name is Andrew Cevasco and I am going into seventh grade (over the summer of 2010) at Admiral Farragut Academy. AFA is located in St. Petersburg, Fl. This is a private military college prep school. AFA was opened in 1945, and before that it was a popular Country club called the Jungle Country Club Hotel. The hotel opened in 1925 and closed in 1944. The original Admiral Farragut Academy campus was in Pine Beach New Jersey but it was closed in 1994, now mostly all the building are demolished, the only building that remains is the infirmary. In the early 1990's Farragut was an all-boys academy but started accepting female students for the first time. When Farragut was a Hotel, Al Capone and Babe Ruth stayed there. AFA is most notable for graduating two of the twelve men that walked on the moon, Alan Shepard and Charles Duke.
